Finkenau is a nonprofit foundation—which means we do not distribute profits and are funded exclusively through the daycare voucher system. All funds go toward our mission: education and quality care.

The difference from for-profit providers: For-profit providers are allowed to generate profits and distribute them to owners and shareholders. This is not an option for us!

All funds remain within our foundation and are earmarked for ensuring the quality of education and quality care. This fosters reliability and high standards. In this way, we make an important contribution to society.

If you would like your donation to go to a specific institution, please write the name of the institution in the reference field, e.g., donation to Kita Kindertraum.

Donation receipts are available for donations of €300 or more. For smaller amounts, a bank statement is sufficient as proof of payment. Donation receipts may only be issued to individuals who do not have children enrolled in the daycare center and to businesses. Please include your name and full address in the payment description.

The operating conditions in daycare centers are shaped by the City of Hamburg’s daycare voucher system. If, like us, you want to advocate for improvements, we recommend getting involved in the BEA (District Parents’ Committee) or LEA (State Parents’ Committee).
