Fuhlinge

Kita Fuhlinge – a place where little explorers grow up.

Our daycare center is located in the historic Wasserpalais in Barmbek and is part of the lively Quartier 21 neighborhood. With over 1,200 square meters of space, children from nursery to elementary school age have plenty of room to explore their world.

We focus on discovering nature and the social and cultural environment: whether on an adventure tour through the city park, on a walk through the neighborhood, or visiting cultural institutions – the children experience their city up close.

Through exciting projects, creative activities, and diverse spaces, we create an environment in which every child can develop their talents and self-confidence. We strive to maintain a loving atmosphere in which curiosity, community, and joy come first.

Childcare provision

Our Fuhlinge daycare center is a lively place for children aged 12 months to 6 years. We offer two nursery groups (1–3 years) and four elementary groups (3–6 years) – and gently accompany each child into everyday life at the daycare center using proven settling-in models.

Daycare Plus: intensive, everyday language support in an appreciative environment.

Daycare Bridge Year: Starting school is a big change for every elementary school child. In the last year before they start school, the children take part in the Bridge Year. The Finkenau Kindergarten Foundation participates in the Kita Brückenjahr quality initiative to prepare for and professionally accompany the important transition from daycare to school.

Educational offer

Language is the key to the world – that’s why language education and development is a focus at our daycare center.
In everyday life, through play, storytelling, and exploration, we help children expand their language skills and develop a love of communication.

Our semi-open concept gives children the space to develop their strengths, make their own decisions, and experience co-determination – for example, during open breakfast or when choosing activities using symbol cards. Creativity, imagination, and curiosity are always at the center of our approach.

Documenting and observing the children’s development is an essential part of the work carried out by our employees. All employees attend regular training courses.
