Children under 3 years of age who require early intervention

Early intervention takes place at an early intervention center (e.g., Haus Mignon). In cooperation with an external early intervention specialist, early intervention can take place on the daycare premises. Parents need a regular daycare voucher for the nursery. From the age of 3, early intervention often transitions into what is known as integration assistance (in german EGH). This requires applying for an EGH voucher. In addition, the respective daycare center must have an operating license for integration assistance.

Children aged 3 and above with early intervention needs (support for inclusion)

From the age of 3, early intervention transitions to what is known as support of inclusion (in german EGH) and is integrated into the daycare voucher system. Parents need a special daycare voucher for support of inclusion, as well as a daycare center with an operating license to care for children with support of inclusion. To obtain an EGH place, parents must contact the voucher department of the daycare center.

Further information on early intervention/support of inclusion can be found here!

Most of our facilities offer EGH places. Here, our special education teachers provide support integrated into everyday life, and speech therapy and/or occupational therapy or physiotherapy also take place on the daycare premises, as required.

This includes:

  • Supporting parents in the process of diagnosis/assessment
  • Conducting support plan discussions with parents and therapists
  • Based on the available findings and recommendations of the therapists, the children are given targeted support in small groups or accompanied and supported in the overall group as part of everyday life
  • Needs-based therapeutic services in the daycare center’s rooms (speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, etc.)
  • Remedical education offers
  • Accompanying, close observation of the child
  • Precise documentation with the interdisciplinary support and treatment plans of the authorities as well as the educational and learning histories
  • Regular exchange within the team, with parents, and with external therapists

Here you will find an overview in which all facilities with EGH places are marked with a crown. Please feel free to contact the respective facility to find out whether there are still EGH places available.

Seeing and strengthening every child in all their facets

In our daycare centers, we support children with all their strengths, interests, and individual needs. We believe that every child has unique potential that needs to be discovered and developed. For example, in order to be able to provide even more targeted support to children who are developing particularly quickly, we work closely with the KARG-Foundation, which develops special approaches to strengthen and support particularly gifted children.

Our inclusive concept is aimed at all children and creates space for diversity. Whether they have special talents, are developing at an exceptional rate, or have increased support needs.
